Fu Hua Cheng An: A Posh Oriental Zen VIP Reception

An Oasis of Tranquility in New Taipei City

Inspired by the spirit of the oriental tea ceremony, the designers have infused the space with cultural symbolism and natural elements. The main marble wall on the reception counter is adorned with lotus leaves, a symbol of good fortune in oriental culture. The arrangement of the lounge sofa area is inspired by the calligraphic character of Roam, creating a relaxing space reminiscent of a tea ceremony.

What sets the Fu Hua Cheng An VIP Reception apart is its attention to detail and unique design features. The linework in the space guides the interplay of light and shadow, creating a subtle sense of visual penetration. The use of lotus decor and calligraphy characters adds a poetic and metaphoric element, articulating the essence of Posh Oriental Zen.

The realization of this design is a testament to the designers' craftsmanship and expertise. Natural materials, such as beige travertine and marble, were used to create a peaceful and harmonious perception. The wall at the sofa area features large cut-face masonry panels, showcasing the aging beauty of the materials. The teak-veneered and steel-brushed partition at the entrance adds a soft wave pattern, resembling a sculpture.

The Fu Hua Cheng An VIP Reception is not just a visually stunning space, but also a functional one. The design technique of visual guidance was employed at the entrance, with laser-engraved motifs on the door echoing the geometric figures on the lobby floor. The space is designed to create a tranquil atmosphere, providing visitors with a moment of serenity amidst the bustling city.

Completed in December 2019, the Fu Hua Cheng An VIP Reception is a testament to the designers' dedication to creating a space that combines art, architecture, and design. This project has been recognized for its excellence, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. It is a space that not only showcases the beauty of Oriental Zen but also contributes to the improvement of quality of life.
